A tailored 3-day plan for Marrakech
Day 1

The Medina & the Great Square

KOUTOUBIA · SOUKS · JEMAA EL-FNA
  1. ~8:30a
  2. ~9:30a
  3. ~11:30a
  4. ~1:30p
  5. ~4:00p
  6. 8:00p

The square — Jemaa el-Fna — is the night's anchor: come back after dark for the smoke, the gnawa drummers, and the orange-juice carts (it's a UNESCO 'living heritage' spectacle). A petit-taxi or your riad's guide saves you from the souk maze after dark.

Day 2

Gardens, Palaces & a Hammam

MAJORELLE · YSL · GUÉLIZ
  1. 9:00a
  2. ~11:30a
  3. ~1:00p
  4. ~3:30p
  5. ~7:30p

Majorelle sells out — book online and arrive at opening. The hammam is the afternoon's whole point; schedule nothing strenuous after, just the rooftop and dinner.

Day 3

The Atlas Mountains

HIGH ATLAS · BERBER VILLAGES · IMLIL
  1. ~8:30a
  2. ~10:30a
  3. ~1:00p
  4. ~3:30p
  5. ~8:00p

The Atlas is the day that balances the medina's intensity with mountain air and quiet. Winter brings snow to the high passes — beautiful, but check road conditions with your driver.

The specialty of Marrakech

Eat it here, then bring it home

Moroccan cooking is built on slow tagines, layered spice blends, and preserved ingredients. Marrakech's medina turns it into theater, from dusk food stalls on the Jemaa el-Fnaa to pastry-filled souks.
