Build your Banff itinerary

Choose how many days you have and we'll lay out a day-by-day plan built around the experiences and flavors you can only get here. Pick anywhere from one to five days below.

Trip length
A tailored 3-day plan for Banff
Day 1

Banff Town & the Bow Valley

BANFF AVENUE · SULPHUR MOUNTAIN · BOW FALLS
  1. ~8:30a
  2. ~10:00a
  3. ~12:30p
  4. ~1:30p
  5. ~3:30p
  6. 7:30p
  7. ~9:30p

Ease in with the town, the gondola, and the hot springs before the big-lake days. Wildlife is everywhere — keep your distance from elk (especially in autumn rut) and never approach for a photo.

Day 2

Lake Louise & Moraine Lake

MORAINE LAKE · LAKE LOUISE · TEA HOUSE
  1. ~6:30a
  2. ~9:00a
  3. ~11:00a
  4. ~1:30p
  5. ~3:30p
  6. ~7:30p

Moraine and Lake Louise now require shuttles, a tour, or very early arrival — private vehicles fill or are barred by dawn, so plan transport ahead. Sunrise at Moraine is worth every bit of the early alarm.

Day 3

The Icefields Parkway

PEYTO LAKE · COLUMBIA ICEFIELD · ATHABASCA
  1. ~8:00a
  2. ~9:30a
  3. ~11:30a
  4. ~1:30p
  5. ~3:00p
  6. ~7:30p

The Icefields Parkway is a full day — fuel up, pack snacks (services are sparse), and allow time for the constant pull-offs. The glacier walk is genuinely once-in-a-lifetime; dress warm even in summer.

The specialty of Banff

Eat it here, then bring it home
