Day 1

The Piazzetta, the Gardens & the Faraglioni

CAPRI TOWN · GIARDINI DI AUGUSTO · VIA KRUPP
  1. ~9:00a
  2. ~10:00a
  3. ~11:30a
  4. ~1:00p
  5. ~3:30p
  6. ~7:00p
  7. 8:30p

Capri rewards early starts — the Piazzetta, the lanes, and the Gardens of Augustus are magical before the midday ferries arrive, and most day-trippers leave by late afternoon, returning the island to a slower, glamorous calm.

Day 2

The Blue Grotto & a Boat Around the Island

GROTTA AZZURRA · ISLAND CIRCUIT · MARINA PICCOLA
  1. ~9:00a
  2. ~10:30a
  3. ~1:00p
  4. ~3:00p
  5. ~7:30p

Do the Blue Grotto early and only when the sea is calm — it closes in swell and queues build fast. A boat circuit of the island is the day's highlight; a private gozzo with swim stops is the most magical (and most luxurious) way to see the coast.

Day 3

Anacapri, Monte Solaro & the Quiet Heights

ANACAPRI · MONTE SOLARO · VILLA SAN MICHELE
  1. ~9:30a
  2. ~11:30a
  3. ~1:00p
  4. ~3:00p
  5. ~7:30p

Anacapri is the island's quieter, higher half — the Monte Solaro chairlift gives Capri's best view, and Villa San Michele its most serene. Staying overnight (versus day-tripping) is the secret: the island empties and softens beautifully each evening.

The specialty of Capri

Eat it here, then bring it home

Capri's food is bright, simple, and Mediterranean — built on the island's lemons, tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and seafood. Two of Italy's most famous light bites were born here: the insalata caprese and the caprese cake, with limoncello to finish.
