Day 1

Monte-Carlo, the Casino & the Rock

CASINO SQUARE · LE ROCHER · PALACE
  1. ~9:30a
  2. ~10:30a
  3. ~12:00p
  4. ~1:30p
  5. ~3:30p
  6. ~7:00p
  7. 8:30p

Monaco packs grandeur into a tiny space — see Casino Square in the calm of morning, then the old-town Rock and the Oceanographic Museum, and return to the square at dusk when it becomes pure theater. The principality is walkable, but its hills are steep (public lifts help).

Day 2

Gardens, the Riviera Coast & Èze

JARDIN EXOTIQUE · ÈZE · CORNICHE
  1. ~9:30a
  2. ~11:00a
  3. ~12:00p
  4. ~1:30p
  5. ~3:30p
  6. ~7:30p

Monaco's small size makes the surrounding Riviera easy to fold in — the perched village of Èze and the cliff-hanging Corniche roads are right next door in France. The exotic gardens of both Monaco and Èze offer the area's most spectacular viewpoints.

Day 3

Spa, the Sea & Monte-Carlo at Leisure

THERMES MARINS · LARVOTTO · SHOPPING
  1. ~9:30a
  2. ~12:30p
  3. ~2:30p
  4. ~4:30p
  5. ~8:30p

Monaco at leisure is the point — the grand Thermes Marins spa, the redesigned Larvotto beach, and the golden square of luxury boutiques fill an easy, glamorous day. The principality is compact and walkable, though its steep terrain is eased by a network of public lifts and escalators.

The specialty of Monaco

Eat it here, then bring it home

Monégasque cooking blends its Provençal and Ligurian neighbors — chickpea flour, chard, olive oil, and seafood — into a handful of distinctive local specialties, set against some of the world's grandest restaurants. Barbagiuan and socca are the true tastes of the principality.
