A tailored 3-day plan for Sardinia
Day 1

The Costa Smeralda

PORTO CERVO · EMERALD COVES · BEACH CLUB
  1. ~9:00a
  2. ~10:30a
  3. ~1:00p
  4. ~3:30p
  5. ~6:00p
  6. 8:30p

The Costa Smeralda is Italy's most glamorous coast — its emerald coves are the draw, and many are best reached by boat. Vermentino di Gallura is the local white; sea-urchin pasta is the must-try.

Day 2

The Maddalena Archipelago

LA MADDALENA · CAPRERA · BUDELLI
  1. ~9:00a
  2. ~11:00a
  3. ~1:00p
  4. ~3:30p
  5. ~7:30p

The Maddalena Archipelago is the highlight of northern Sardinia — a marine park of granite islands and pink-and-turquoise beaches, best by boat. Some beaches (the pink Budelli) are protected and can't be walked on.

Day 3

Wild Interior & Ancient Sardinia

NURAGHE · GENNARGENTU · SHEPHERD CULTURE
  1. ~9:00a
  2. ~11:30a
  3. ~1:00p
  4. ~3:30p
  5. ~7:30p

Sardinia's interior is a different world from the glamorous coast — ancient nuraghi, mountain villages, and a fierce pastoral culture. The Cannonau red and porceddu are the tastes of the real, inland island.

The specialty of Sardinia

Eat it here, then bring it home

Sardinian food is fiercely its own — a pastoral cuisine of bread, pecorino, and roast meats inland, and a Catalan-tinged seafood tradition along the coast.
